”Nicolae Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova is the only higher education institution in the country that can be found in 2023 SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR,https://www.scimagoir.com/). According to the SIR, our university ranks 3898th globally among 4533 higher education institutions and 324th among the 439 Eastern European universities included in this ranking.

In the SCIMAGO global top institutions in the field of medicine, Nicolae Testemtanu University occupies the 4675th place among the 4981 institutions and the 251st position among the 304 present in Eastern Europe. Our institution has the best indicator in the Pulmonary and Respiratory Medicine, thus ranking 1262nd worldwide and 22nd among institutions in the Eastern European region.
